Missoula Police, Sheriff, Fire, EMS & Wildland Fire Scanner Feed

This independently operated scanner feed provides continuous monitoring of routine public-safety dispatch communications and regional wildland-fire operations serving Missoula County and western Montana. During wildfire season, the feed expands to include DNRC, USFS, NIFC and interagency command, aviation and mutual-aid communications, providing listeners with comprehensive situational awareness during significant incidents.

During active wildfire incidents, coverage may extend into the Bitterroot Valley and other surrounding areas when regional command, aviation and mutual-aid channels are in use.

Wildland-fire channels are seasonal and may remain quiet when no active incident, training exercise or aircraft operation is occurring. Channel assignments may also change from one incident to another.

Purpose of the Feed

This feed is provided for community awareness, media monitoring and the radio-scanning hobby.

It is independently operated and is not an official feed of Missoula County, the City of Missoula, DNRC, the United States Forest Service, NIFC or any public-safety agency.

The receiving and streaming equipment is locally maintained for continuous operation.

Broadcast Policies

Law-enforcement monitoring on this feed is limited to routine dispatch communications.

The feed may also carry fireground, wildfire command, wildland-fire tactical, mutual-aid, flight-following, air-to-ground, air-to-air and aircraft-support communications associated with firefighting operations.

The feed does not intentionally broadcast:

Dedicated law-enforcement tactical or car-to-car channels
SWAT, narcotics or investigative operations
Detective, records or private law-enforcement channels
Dedicated ambulance-to-hospital communications
Encrypted or otherwise private communications
Commercial radio, music or open microphones

No provider-added delay is used. Internet encoding and streaming naturally create a brief delay between the original radio transmission and the listener receiving it.

Because numerous channels are scanned in rotation, simultaneous radio traffic may result in portions of some transmissions being missed.
