Feed Notes

This streaming feed will monitor the Conemaugh Line (CP- PENN to CP-CONPIT). You may hear: Norfolk Southern Dispatch, Defect detectors, Milepost Annunciation, Train crews, and Repair crews - in the Northeast Allegheny, Northern Westmoreland, Southern Butler, and Western Armstrong County areas in Pennsylvania, With best reception between the cities of Harmar Township (MP 66.8) and Apollo (MP 36.5), PA. Defect Detectors – 66.8, 56.4, 48.5, 36.5, 28.1, and 14.2 may be heard depending on atmospheric conditions.

Incoming frequencies are captured using a home-built, custom Full-Wave Ground Plane antenna, FM trap, and boost into a dedicated Uniden Bearcat BCT15X Digital Trunking scanner. The stream is fed via ground loop isolator and controlled by ScannerCast RR edition on a personal computer running 24/7/365. Further implementations of equipment will be put into place as needed. Maintenance on equipment – all maintenance will be announced via feed details 24 - 48 hrs before it is to begin. All maintaining will be done as quick as possible.
