Feed Notes
Lassen County Fire — Special
Wildland Fire Command, Tactical, Air Operations & Incident-Specific Communications
Feed Coverage
This feed provides expanded wildland fire and incident-specific radio coverage for Lassen County and the surrounding region. It may be used during significant wildfires, extended-attack incidents, periods of extreme fire weather, or other events requiring additional radio coverage.
The scanner may monitor channels used for:
- CAL FIRE Lassen-Modoc Unit (LMU) Local
- CAL FIRE LMU command and tactical operations
- CAL FIRE air tactics, air-to-ground, and air attack operations
- U.S. Forest Service (USFS) Lassen National Forest (LNF) fire, forest, and administrative traffic
- USFS LNF command, tactical, air-to-ground, and air tactics operations
- Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Northern California District (NOD) fire operations
- National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) frequencies
- VFIRE interoperability channels
- Incident-specific command, tactical, logistics, mutual-aid, and coordination channels
- Other relevant federal, state, and local channels assigned during major incidents
The exact channels carried will vary based on incident location, radio assignments, fire activity, reception conditions, and operational needs. Not every listed channel will be active or monitored at all times.
Alpha Tags & Abbreviations
The following abbreviations are commonly used in the channel names and alpha tags displayed by the feed player:
- LMU — CAL FIRE Lassen-Modoc Unit
- USFS — U.S. Forest Service
- LNF — Lassen National Forest
- BLM — Bureau of Land Management
- NOD — BLM Northern California District
- NIFC — National Interagency Fire Center
- CMD — Command
- TAC — Tactical
- A/G or AG — Air-to-Ground
- AT — Air Tactics
Alpha tags may be abbreviated further because of scanner and feed-player display-length limitations.
Priority Scan Notice
The scanner is configured with Priority Scan enabled for the following channels:
- CAL FIRE LMU Local — 151.250 MHz
- BLM NOD — 171.625 MHz
- USFS LNF Forest Net — 173.1875 MHz
When traffic is detected on a priority channel, the scanner may temporarily leave or interrupt a transmission being received on another monitored channel so the priority traffic can be heard.
If a command, tactical, air, or other incident transmission appears to be cut off and replaced by LMU Local, BLM NOD, or USFS LNF Forest Net traffic, Priority Scan is likely the reason.

Feed Availability
This feed may be active continuously during fire season or major incidents but may carry little or no traffic when wildfire activity is limited.
During larger incidents, radio assignments may change frequently. Some operations may also occur on frequencies or radio systems that cannot be received from the feed location.
Feed Problems
Please report audio outages, looping audio, distorted transmissions, prolonged silence during known incident activity, or other technical problems by using Broadcastify’s Report Problem button on the feed page.
The stream is not continuously monitored and may occasionally stop, hang, or experience receiver or internet-connectivity problems. Submitting a problem report notifies the feed provider and will generally result in the issue being identified and resolved more quickly.
