"NWS" covers 11 counties within Southeastern Wisconsin region 24/7 - 365, the alert is retransmitted thru an on-site vhf 5 watt repeater. The emergency alert is set as priority but remains in stand by mode until Activated by "NWS" for the issuance of weather watches or warnings.
