10/7/2026 - Over the next few weeks, we will be upgrading the entire system. These improvements will include a new externally mounted antenna, new cabling, upgraded SDR devices, and other equipment changes.
Our goal is to improve overall signal reception, reduce noise and interference, and eliminate the need for the existing Kenwood “always-on” radio. These upgrades should significantly reduce the static currently heard on the system and improve overall audio clarity and quality.
The new antenna and equipment should also improve reception and signal quality on the Sheriff’s channel, providing clearer and more consistent audio.
