Notes

  • BVPS DMR uses DMR digital mode, not P25 — BCD996P2 does not decode DMR natively
  • N BR RPT, BRTN RPT, and HAN RPT (151.1075) may have also transitioned to P25 but unconfirmed
  • Police channels are P25 encrypted and not receivable
  • OPS 3 (154.980) — This frequency wasn't listed in the RadioReference forum thread about the P25 transition. The confirmed P25 channels were the primary operations freqs (OPS 1 on 155.22, OPS 2 on 154.295). OPS 3 may still be analog, or it may have switched and I just couldn't confirm it from the sources.

  • Fire Police (154.570) — Fire police are typically volunteer organizations that may not have received P25 portable radios yet.

  • Hopewell VFD (151.130) — This is a specific volunteer fire department frequency, not a county-wide channel. Individual VFDs often run their own radios and may not have upgraded.

  • F Tac 3 (173.250) — This wasn't in the confirmed P25 list either. It's in a different frequency band (173 MHz) which may indicate different infrastructure.

  • Multi Tac (154.980) — Same frequency as OPS 3, likely same situation.

  • N BR RPT, BRTN RPT, HAN RPT (151.1075) — These are on a different repeater frequency than the confirmed P25 repeaters (which are all on 151.0175). The three on 151.1075 may still be analog.
