Feed Notes

This feed consists of the US Forest Service Cibola and Santa Fe National Forests located in central New Mexico. Although there is activity on the monitored frequencies year around, there is much more activity during the spring and summer fire season. When possible during a wildfire, and can be heard from the feed broadcaster's location, the Air Attack and Air-to-Ground frequencies will be monitored. A Radio Shack Pro-2005 scanner is used for the Forest Service feed using "Line level" output.

The scanner are connected through a splitter to a home brew 1/4 wave VHF-High antenna located 11 feet in the air.

The feed is broadcast using a Raspberry Pi 3 Version B, a Griffin iMic USB Sound device using "Line level" input, and Darkice running under Raspian Buster.
