Feed Notes

This feed is located on the north side of Chicago and primarily covers the south ends of Union Pacific's Harvard, Kenosha, and Milwaukee Sub; and the east end of the Geneva Sub, including some coverage of operations at Ogilvie Transportation Center. There is some coverage of the Dolton dispatcher tower on the Villa Grove Sub. The Union Pacific Joliet Sub is also monitored, and we are very occasionally able to receive dispatcher transmissions depending on weather conditions. Coverage of dispatcher towers is best, though locomotive/cabcar radios can be heard—especially when trains are nearby on the Kenosha and Harvard Subs.

Equipment: Uniden BCT-15X paired with a TrainTenna Blade indoor antenna and PAR Electronics filter, located on the top floor of a multistory building. Broadcast uses Audio Hijack for Mac.
