Logan County Fire Dispatch now primarily uses the 800 MHz radio system for dispatch and on-scene operations across the county. The County Fire Dispatch talkgroup, along with Fireground Talkgroups 1, 2, and 3, provide clear and reliable communication for all active incidents. Fireground 1 serves as the main tactical channel, while Firegrounds 2 and 3 are available for additional support during larger or multiple incidents. These upgrades improve interoperability, coverage, and safety for all responding agencies.
The legacy 155.865 MHz VHF frequency is now primarily used for tone-outs, alerting departments such as Sooner, Mulhall, Orlando, Marshall, Woodcrest, Langston, and Meridian. While voice traffic has moved to 800 MHz, this VHF channel remains an important part of our alerting system.
